England lost all three of their matches in the Euro Beach Soccer league event at Tignes. This means that they are out of the Superfinals and came last out of the 8 teams that took part.

England lost 3-1 to Hungary on the Saturday in a game that was goalless until extra time. Tony Kerr scored the first goal to Englandís delight but their joy was instantly taken away as Hungary then scored within seconds, this was then unbelievably followed by 2 further goals from Hungary within minutes.

England then had to face Estonia in their final match who they beat on penalties in Benidorm. Unfortunately Estonia turned the table and clinched their first victory in Tignes beating England 3-2. Englandís scorers were Terry Bowes and English Captain GC.

Many national teams seem to be steaming ahead with massive funding from their FAís. This enables the players to become full time professionals and for the teams to hire Brazilian and Portugese coaches. They also get to train in state of the art facilities. Unfortunately the English FA and Sport England are yet to support our sport leaving us trailing behind with no training facilities or funding.
In light of this England do amazingly, but we can only hope that crucial funding will come through for us before it is too late.
